There’s no crying in soccer…

My daughter's game face

My daughter's game face

It's funny how you think something is going to turn out, yet invariably it goes the opposite direction. Take my daughter's first soccer game. I thought for sure she was going to love soccer because she has two older brothers who both played soccer and she's used to the rough life associated with brothers. At practice she did fine, had fun, and no worries.

<------------And then this is what happened at the actual game. Tears, tears, and then just when we thought the tears were through...they started again. *sigh* It's going to be a long season, methinks.

Oh boy.

Maybe we should just stick to dance.

Priceless. I know it’s wrong to think that a crying child is cute, but she’s just adorable. Poor thing. That pic makes me want to walk up and give her a big hug.

I hope she adjusts and the games get better for both of you :) .

OMG, she is going to kill you for publishing that picture when she gets older!!! She is cute though, poor little thing! Hope she got lots of hugs and gets over the scariness of the game quickly or you’re right it will be a long season!

  3. Thanks Rula, Snookie! She’s a tough kiddo. I think by the end of the season she should be better. If not, we’ll definitely stick to dance.
